Idil is a highly motivated trainer, facilitator, coach and entrepreneur with 16 years of professional experience which spans more than 35 countries in four continents, 7000 hours and 3000 people from 50 nationalities.
Idil brings a wealth of expertise working with corporate clients from a variety of industries, as well as not-for-profit organisations and governments. Her clients range from Fortune 100 companies to small family businesses, from small local volunteer groups to large international charities and from local municipalities to the United Nations.
Idil has trained and coached leaders from first level to board level. What makes her unique is her multi-faceted profile and her ability to integrate her various skills. An active listener, Idil asks probing questions, identifies underlying patterns and models key leadership behaviours such as emotional intelligence, establishing trust and relationship building in serving her clients.
She has experience in leadership and management, learning and development, organisational development, strategy and impact and entrepreneurship.
Idil is passionate about her work and creating positive change. She believes in human potential and works to empower individuals within their organisations and communities. In creating thought provoking, experiential and transformational learning environments where participants are engaged, she aims to contribute to behavioural change and improved organisational results. Such a setting allowing participants to gain knowledge, skills and insights not only from the content, but also from their peers.
Idil applies a human-centric approach by keeping the learner, rather than the facilitator, central to the process. She uses a range of styles and adapts her technique accordingly. A newly formed group requires a direct approach at first, but a more collaborative one as the session progresses, giving individuals the freedom to find their own voice.
She practices transformational coaching by helping clients define their values and purpose and leverage their strengths to excel in their lives. Her understanding of business principles and organisational dynamics allow her to guide clients into taking actionable steps towards their goals and become change agents within their organisations.
With every training group, Idil forms a special connection. For the duration of the sessions she works off the premise that everyone has been given a special opportunity to reflect, inspire and to create a better version of themselves.
On a personal level, Idil set up a pioneering nursery, the only one of its kind in northern Cyprus. She also helped set up many NGOs and currently sits on the Board of Directors for several not-for-profit organisations in Cyprus and around the globe.
Idil thrives on travelling and working with different cultures. Having lived and worked in many countries, Idil has a deep understanding and insight into the cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds in Europe and the Middle East.
She won Junior Chamber International (JCI) Turkey's Most Outstanding Trainer award in 2009.
