Cancellation Policy & Waiver of Liability

WAIVER OF LIABILITY & INSURANCE:

Be aware that attending THE MOSAIC CONGRESS 2018 will be at your own risk. Eastern Mediterranean University and EMU Pharmacy Students' Society does not bear any legal liability or responsibility for the safety of any attendee attending or traveling to or from this congress. Under no circumstances are EMUPSS, EMU or the Organizing Committee liable for any death, injury, illness, theft, destruction of property or expenses incurred during the congress or social events. Any loss rendered due to previously stated situations will not in any way be a liability claimed by EMUPSS, EMU or the Organizing Committee as well. Loss from the provision or non-provision of services or assistance from the University(EMU), Dormitory (Pop Art), Hotels, Transport Providers or Organizers beyond what is clearly stated and agreed upon will be the attendee's liability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or serious circumstances beyond our control, EMUPSS shall be entitled to cancel or modify the dates of the event. Delegates shall not be entitled to compensation for any costs or damages incurred as a consequence of such a cancellation or change. However, attendees will be notified via email and all available social media outlets in the event of changes or cancellation. All delegates are urged to take adequate personal travel insurance to cover for travel, health and accidents before they depart from their countries.

CANCELLATION POLICY & REGISTRATION:

All cancellations must be received in writing to emupss@emu.edu.tr. If the registration committee receives a written request for cancellation on or before the 23rd of April, the individual will be eligible to receive a refund of the registration fee less an administration fee of 50%. For cancellations received on or after the 30th of April, no refund will be made. The terms of cancellation also apply in situations a visa is officially refused to the participant. We urge all participants to start their visa application as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment. Please note that registration made after the 2nd of May will incur a 20% additional fee in addition to the original congress registration fee.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE:

All photographs and videos taken at the congress including all abstracts and materials submitted becomes the sole property of EMUPSS and may be displayed, distributed or used as EMUPSS deems fit.

EMUPSS and the organizers reserve the right to use any photos, videos taken at the congress for official functions and reproduce them in news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including in the upcoming MOSAIC Congresses and EMUPSS websites and social media. By participating in the Mosaic Congress 2018, you grant EMUPSS the right to use your name, photograph and biography for such purposes.

SPECIAL NEEDS

EMUPSS acknowledges its responsibilities to make the Mosaic Congress 2018 accessible to persons with disabilities. Every effort shall be made to ensure participants with special needs are accommodated. These needs must be made known to the Organizer upon registration to allow for arrangements to be made in an organized and timely manner

CODE OF CONDUCT:

EMUPSS work to promote a welcoming environment that is safe, collaborative, supportive, and productive for all attendees, and invited speakers. By registering, attendees accept to hold themselves to a high level of conduct during the congress. Any forms of discrimination based on gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, culture or any unnecessary altercation will not be tolerated. Physical or verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, EMU staff member will not be tolerated as well. If found guilty of any misconduct the attendee will be dismissed from the congress and all consequential events. Cleanliness and respect of the Officials is a must for all attendees. If any of the Officials, or Ushers perform any misconduct or are abusive and rude, attendees should feel free to report this to an EMUPSS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER or ORGANIZING COMMITTEE MEMBER. Attendees are expected to comply with the safety and security measures put in place within the Congress Venue and surroundings. Smoking will not be permitted in the Congress Venue. During the social activities attendees, are advised to consume alcohol responsibly and will be responsible for their actions.
